hiyas,
thanks so much for the comments. Feeling much better and more aquainted with the group. Last night we took the overnight train to Chiang Mai, the city in the north where it is much cooler. We'll do our hilltribe treck tomorrow and leave civilization for a few days. We played cards on the journey up, and there were on me about my knitting, ("just one sock, what about the other?") Not very clever, but being the only American, I've been coined the nickname of my country. The brits are ganging up on me. It's 6 boys and 4 women, myself included, plus AJ our Thai guide.
This internet cafe doesn't allow USB connection so no pics allowed :( Although, it is 30 baht for an hour, so that's like 80 cents....I did get some good pictures of the Wat Pho, the giant reclining Bhudda and the river on the water taxi. Will try to find another cafe when we get back to town on Friday (Will be Thursday in America) to post more pictures.
jaywalkers are coming along nicely, almost to halfway!!! Can you have Mai tai's at the Point?
