Hi Everyone,
I've been a bad blogger and knitter. Everything has been pushed to the side for the past month or so, Team Tina has been MIA. So much has been hapenning, and at first I was too lazy to post, and now I'm going crazy with work and extracurricular activities. Holy Mackerel, I'm exhausted.
If you are not a friend of mine, or if you've been under a rock, you will not be aware that I'M LEAVING FOR THAILAND IN ONE WEEK!!!!!
Have you seen the shape of this country? What is that? The trip is quite adventerous, on top of being my first trip out of the country, and going by myself. I found this incredible tour company that does trips all over the world, and one of their Thailand packages is really incredible. Starting in Bangkok, you travel up to Chang Mai for a day, then a three day hike into the hill tribes in northern thailand. Then it's back to civilization for awhile. Intrepid is the company that hosts the tour. Travel code is TRO if you want to look it up. After the 8 days with the group, I'm on my own to explore the beaches, cities, and elephants!!! Stephanie and Veronique, some of my fellow spiders have been there before and have been really great giving me lots of tips and ideas on places to visit.
And what about the knitting? One the 17hour plane ride there and back I'll be working on my first try at socks on the magic loop. I'm going for Jaywalkers and I'm going to bring some Brooklyn Handspun- it'll be Marie's international yarn debut.
In other knitting news, I'm on the lookout for some Soho bulky tweed for a man's sweater. I've a friend who's moving out of the country to teach abroad for two years this September, and will need something cozy and familiar to take with him. This is actually a friend of Austin's, the new bunny in my bonnet. More on that later.
Craptina lives! Oh my gosh! Good to see you blogging again. You're going to have such a fabulous time in Thailand. I wanna see some great pictures when you get back!

Actually, there are internet cafes at every street corner in Thailand, so you could always send pictures while still there... Just an idea...
You are going to have a blast! And yes, I agree that socks are the best project: you don't want to be knitting anything big.

Remember your sun screen and don't drink the water unless its safe the diarrhea you get lasts for weeks!! if there is a problem. So happy for you, I know you will have a great time. Love you, MOM
