Sheep and Wool 2005 kicked butt. The day started off nicely with a coincidence of running into Crazy Legs Conti, whom I hadn't seen since July at the Coney Island hot dog competition. I was lucky enough to get my picture taken with him then; of course such a celebrity did not remember me. It's cool, I think Crazy Legs rocks. I wish I could eat that many oysters.
Anyway, highlights of the festival really began with lunch. Killer artichokes.
Oh yes. Straight up, French, and deep fried. Either way, it's off the Weight Watchers, but Good Lord he makes em tasty!
PS- mint chocolate chip milkshake makes a nice finish.
So the sheep dogs and yarn were a blast. The biggest hit was the Brooks Farm Booth. That's where most of the damage was done, but it is a good investment.
I'm pumped for the supplies for my new projects and am eager to get started. Unfortunately most of my projects are christmas gifts, so the posts will have to be on the DL. Oh sweet January....
The night ended at my brother Jimmy's house where a bad ass card game was waiting. I lost quite a bit of change, about fifty big ones, and some brain cells with all the beer, but all in good fun. Damn those side bets. Nice close up of Big Jim and Marky near the end of the night.
I'm so into the sprawled card motif.
Check out the photo album for more pics from sheep and wool '05!
